Journal Entry

Journals is an online series presenting work, stories and experiences amongst the promenade. It’s designed to be candid and versatile so each journal is reflective of the author’s personality.

An entry is sharing your own work, story or experience is a journal dedicated to you, sharing whatever and however many entries you wish. We’ve provided concepts to help evoke things to journal about, but ultimately, you’re free to interpret and direct the piece in a way that feels right for you.

Details

  • We’ll provide a digital form for you to journal in, making it simple to work through, documenting and sharing entries in your own time. After you submit your journal, we’ll organise a studio session and take your portrait as the feature photo for the piece.

  • Entries are like chapters for your journal. You need to share at least one, but you can submit as many as you wish. They can be based on your life, craft or something extraneous. They can be from past experiences or you can document new ones. They can be meaningful or light-hearted; random or chronological; brief or in-depth. They can be anything.

  • This piece is self-documented. We may provide concepts, ask questions and make requests at times, but only your words and material will be used and kept in context.

  • You’re able to submit absolutely any type of content for your journal - words, photos, videos, audio, etc. Please just ensure we have permission from any other necessary parties.

  • Your journal form will need to be submitted by January 1st, 2024 to have the chance of being published in the next season of the series.

  • Journals are currently published on our website and social media. If we eventually plan to print, we’ll contact you first for permission.

  • We’ll let you review, make changes and confirm the final piece before it’s published.
