We’ve provided a library of prompts to encourage ideas for your journal. Their intention is to help recall or inspire experiences that you’re open to sharing. Copy and paste any prompts that you’d like to explore into your journal form.
Concepts

Present a project or experience from your work that you’re open to sharing and discussing in some detail. e.g. pieces, collections, events, series.

Provide an insight into your process or evolution of your work, craft or career. e.g. your start, creative process, inspiration, style, development, behind-the-scenes.

Tell a story that comes to mind. Any story that you find interesting and can share in some detail. e.g. your go-to story, story of your life, how you met someone, a story that has stuck with you since your childhood.

Share a photograph that resonates with you, discussing your perspective on what the photo portrays and any stories, memories or feelings you have related to it. e.g. a self-portrait, a special moment, a loved one, a treasured possession.

Chronicle a day in your life, recording where you go, what you do or how you feel through words or visual material. e.g. your daily routine, an event, a special occasion.

Share a series or gallery of visual material, narrating each piece with captions or comments. e.g. a diary of photos, video, sketches, notes.

Create a list of a single or mixture of categories, explaining how or why some of them have made your list. e.g. books, albums, films, artists, concerts, places, work projects.

Share one or some of your most treasured possessions and why they’re special to you. e.g. possessions that you always have on you, belongings that you value the most.

Share your favourite places, recommendations and things to do around your city. e.g. restaurants, cafes, bars, live music venues, thrift shops, bookstores, galleries, events.

Write a letter addressed to something or someone but open for anyone to read. e.g. a letter to a loved one, an organisation, to your past or future self.

Share a chronological arrangement of events or experiences as they occurred over a period of time. e.g. A timeline of your life, career, a project, a relationship.

Share a collection of songs, providing a theme and reasons why some songs have made the playlist. e.g. songs you’re currently listening to, songs you listen to while you work, songs that make you feel a type of way.
